We are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Reporting Analyst in an exciting new role based at our Leeds office. With this role you would become part of the UK’s largest provider of genuinely free independent debt advice and managed solutions.

What you will be doing 

This is a crucial role in determining the success of our growth plans. Within this role you would work with the charity’s Finance team reporting to our Commercial Finance manager. You will support the monthly analysis of financial and operational performance and contribute to quarterly and annual forecasting processes. You will also support the pricing, evaluation and ongoing monitoring of new business opportunities and funded projects

Key accountabilities

  • Prepare the monthly KPI presentation for the Executive Board, ready for commentary by the Commercial Finance Manager
  • Prepare the monthly presentation for the Volumes Meeting, which reviews operational performance in the prior month
  • Perform monthly analysis on the performance of the Voluntary Arrangements and Financial Solutions subsidiaries
  • Obtain financial and non-financial data from multiple sources, and create reports and analysis to so support the activity of the Commercial Finance team
  • Contribute to the quarterly and annual financial planning processes
  • Contribute to the pricing, evaluation and ongoing monitoring of new business opportunities and funded projects

Experience and knowledge

  • Experience of working in a Finance role (desirable)
  • Commenced professional finance study (e.g. AAT) (desirable)
  • Use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Creating spreadsheets and reports and manipulating data
  • Contributing to written reports and presentations
  • Financial planning experience, including an annual planning cycle (desirable)
  • Sage or similar accounting system (desirable)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive and productive relationships with all role levels across multiple functions
  • Ability to organise own workload on a day-to-day basis and recognise higher priorities and manage them accordingly
  • Convey complex pieces of information to the business in an easily understandable format
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Flexible approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Continuous improvement mindset
