Great opportunity for 3 confident Senior Business Analysts to join the Technology Services team at StepChange Debt Charity in Leeds, to lead on new initiatives and drive forward quality and best practices.  

We operate a hybrid working model combining remote working with some days in the office.

What you will be doing

The bulk of this role is made up with the ‘doing’ of analysis work. Together with Product Owners and delivery teams you will work collaboratively to establish requirements and move forward with solutions.  Reporting to one of our Delivery Managers, this role sits within a Delivery Team.

You will be a mentor and provide support, coaching, and guidance to existing and new members of the team, however this role does not have any direct management responsibilities. In addition, you will:

  • Evaluate and analyse information gathered to ensure requirements are complete
  • Translate business processes and requirements into functional spec / user stories
  • Take a lead on analysis tasks and coordinate Business Analysts on any large/complex projects
  • Lead workshops with stakeholders
  • Support in the delivery of business analysis across product teams
  • Manage team priorities by challenging and pushing back, negotiate timelines where required
  • Support the implementation of a consistent, structured, and practical framework for the Business Analysis team, that supports efficient and effective delivery
  • Supporting the Analysis Manager in the leadership of the discipline

What we want from you

  • Track record in planning activities and coordinating resources
  • Proven experience in business analysis techniques, analysing data, modelling processes etc
  • Understanding of waterfall and agile project management frameworks
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and upskilling team members
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
  • A proven track record in business analysis 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey and document technical information clearly, accurately, and concisely
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • A confident and flexible individual who can take responsibility for driving initiatives forward to success
